Stepping Forward

How to break the stepping forward habit upon serving:

Almost all beginners will step forward after the serve. When the serve is returned deep, they fail, because they must allow the ball to bounce and are already standing too far forward. To instantly break that habit, jump back six inches (15 cm) as soon as you serve.

The stepping forward tendency also affects the partner of the server, so the partner, too, can jump back as soon as the ball is served.

What do you think? Is this a useful technique?
